2010 Resident Service Outcomes
In 2010, IHI staff:

  • Distributed over $48,000 (thanks to a generous grant from the Paul Allen Family Foundation) to help 134 households stay stable in housing and meet basic needs. Specifically, these funds helped pay rent and utility bills, purchase work clothing, purchase medication, and repair vehicles needed for work.
  • Facilitated 140 community events attended by 803 residents
  • Made 1,170 resource referrals
  • Conducted 442 eviction preventions - and had only 8 evictions all year
  • Provided financial education to 122 households
  • Helped 248 residents advocate for themselves
  • Assisted 86 residents secure critical benefits (such as food stamps and disability payments)
  • Facilitated 106 workshops attended by 782 residents
  • Provided 230 youth with backpacks and school supplies
  • Distributed 1,105 direct resources including food, clothing, household items and tickets to events
  • Served 3,511 summer lunches and provided daily activities for children at 4 sites
  • In partnership with the Oregon Food Bank, provided fresh fruits and vegetables to an average of 100 families a month
  • Helped adult residents achieve 24,448 outcomes, in the following categories:
      • Basic Needs: 13,272

      • Increased Academic Success: 24
      • Community Building: 6,552
  • Helped resident youth achieve 27,178 outcomes, in the following categories:
      • Basic Needs: 7,506
