95 Total Apartments
Lyndon Musolf Manor is IHI’s flagship property, offering 95 affordable studio apartments for low-income individuals, with a priority for those who are elderly or disabled. Originally acquired by IHI in 1991, the building—formerly known as the historic Foster Hotel—has long served as a vital housing resource in Portland’s Old Town.
IHI completed a full historic and seismic rehabilitation of Musolf Manor in 2009. The renovation included new electrical and plumbing systems, an ADA-compliant elevator, a new roof, and a full seismic retrofit to ensure resident safety in the event of an earthquake. The studio apartments were updated, and the lobby was restored to reflect its historic character.
The ground floor also features seven commercial spaces, adding vitality and services to the surrounding neighborhood.
